KCS Projects: We Are BAFE SP203 Part 1 / BAFE SP203-1 Certified!
BAFE SP203 Part 1 / BAFE SP203-1 Certified in Fire Detection and Alarm Systems
When you choose your fire alarm system provider, you could be placing your life - and potentially the lives of others - in their hands. As such, it is essential to choose a reputable company to ensure that your property is protected with an accurate and reliable alarm at all times.
Choosing a third-party certified fire detection and alarm system service is an easy and effective way to guarantee that you are using a competent provider. This makes sure that the health and wellbeing of your staff is effectively safeguarded and ensures your compliance with relevant fire safety legislation.
At KCS Projects, we are third-party certified by BAFE for the design, installation, commissioning/handover and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems, meaning you can trust us to carry out the necessary fire safety work to keep you safe and compliant with the law!

Your Responsibilities
As an employer, you are required under the Duty Of Care to safeguard the health and wellbeing of your employees. This includes ensuring that your commercial property is a safe working environment.
As part of this, you are required to ensure that your commercial property includes an effective fire detection and alarm system.
Responsible Person(s) in commercial properties are legally required to ensure that their place of work is fitted with an effective fire alarm system, and to guarantee that they are regularly maintained and inspected.
As part of this responsibility, you are required to demonstrate that you have acted with due diligence in order to source a competent provider for the work.
If your business’ fire safety measures are inadequate, you could receive a minor penalty of up to £5,000 - or major penalties such as unlimited fines or even up to 2 years in prison.
The best way to ensure that your alarm system is designed, installed, and maintained by a competent provider is to choose a service (like us!) that is third-party certified, as BAFE strongly recommends using a third-party certified provider for the design, installation, commissioning/handover and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems in commercial properties.
