A school client commissioned a second phase of security improvements across its sports field and changing areas. The project included replacing manual gate systems with automated systems and improving security around off-street areas where there was potential for unauthorised access to the school grounds.

The Challenge

The works needed to be carried out while the school remained open and fully operational.

Large groups of pupils continued to use the site, so work areas had to be carefully secured and managed to maintain a safe environment and minimise disruption.

When the summer holidays began, the site still needed to accommodate school clubs and other activities, meaning the works had to be carefully coordinated around ongoing use of the facilities.

Our Approach

The project was carefully planned around the school's timetable and day-to-day activities.

Work areas were secured and managed to separate the works from pupils and other users of the site. The programme was also adapted as required to work around school clubs and activities taking place during the holidays.

The Result

The project delivered improved security across the sports field and changing areas, including automated gate systems and enhanced security around off-street areas.

The improvements were completed while allowing the school to remain operational throughout the works, with safety and minimal disruption kept as key priorities.

Key outcome: Improved school security delivered around an active school environment.
